A plant-based diet consists mostly or entirely of plant-based foods, such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, soya products, nuts and seeds. Some plant-based eaters include animal products and some don’t. In essence a plant-based diet lies on a spectrum, from dietary approaches with low amounts of animal products to those with zero.
